Braised Beef Shoulder with Green Harissa, Wheatberries and Dill

Braised Beef Shoulder W/ Green Harissa & Wheat Berries

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Method 1 (Stovetop):

  • First, take everything out of the fridge! Ideally you want all of the components at room temperature or warmer.
  • Warm wheat berries in broth in a saucepan over medium low heat. Get this really warm! You don’t want to be eating cold soup!
  • Warm braised beef in a saucepan over medium low heat.
  • Ladle wheat berries and broth into your serving bowls. Top with braised beef and a dollop of the green harissa. Garnish with radishes (water drained off), meyer lemons slices, and dill sprigs. Squeeze a lime over everything and serve.

Method 2 (Microwave):

  • Assemble (microwave safe) bowls with wheat berries, broth and braised beef.
  • Warm each bowl individually (covered) in the microwave.
  • Warm braised beef in a saucepan over medium low heat.
  • Ladle wheat berries and broth into your serving bowls. Top with braised beef and a dollop of the green harissa. Garnish with radishes (water drained off), meyer lemons slices, and dill sprigs. Squeeze a lime over everything and serve.
