Root Vegetable Stew with Mixed Herbs and Hawaij

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Warm stew in a saucepan over medium low heat. Let it simmer a bit to fully warm up the vegetables.
  • If included, pork can be warmed in a saucepan over medium low heat, or in the microwave. 
  • To serve, ladle stew into bowls. Top with smoked pork shoulder (if included), sliced radishes and mixed. Garnish with as much of the chili oil as you’d like. Squeeze a lime over everything and serve with bread or rice if you have it!

INGREDIENTS: sweet potato, winter squash, carrots, onions, ginger, garlic, salt, pepper, hawaij spice, tomato, vegetable stock, olive oil, cilantro, mint, basil, radish, chili oil (canola oil, tamari, spices, chili), optional pork ALLERGENS: soy, sesame
